In Progress

As humans, we are hard-wired for connection. Yet so many of us feel isolated that it is now considered a public health crisis. Anyone There? is a multidisciplinary theater work exploring Loneliness and Connection. We use verbatim interview text to tell stories (and sing songs) drawn from real experiences of both struggle and resilience. We explore neuroscience, evolutionary biology and positive psychology; maybe if we can understand something about why we do what we do, we might feel less ashamed, less alone in our loneliness.  And finally, we invite the audience to connect - to play, to sing, to talk to each other. There is joy in community - we will offer you a chance to find it.

Anyone There? is being developed with the support of New Georges (Supported Project), NYU Verbatim Performance Lab (Studio Reading, fall ‘25). WAM (residency, summer ‘26)  and the Performance Project at University Settlement (Artist-in-Residence, ‘25/’26)
